I'm a student of Public Admnistration, and the truth is that I did'n wanted to study this before I came here. My vocation was the history, and specially the more remote. The past civilizations were facinated to me (and still), the aztecs are my ìdols and I used to think that my life was going to be really different. All my family hate that vocation, because the thing that I wanted to study was arqueology, and here in Chile the possibilities of an arqueologist are really restricted, And obviously they want the best for me.
When I was a kid. I used to play on the ground with a bruch. and my parents told me that what I said then, was that a wanted to find dynosaurs on the ground of my garden, they just laught. And I always said that my dream was going to Gizeh, and find a Faraon over there, or find something that egipcians made.
When we are kids we base our goals on things that we believe with all our heart. And I believed that I can do that. But real life is harder than I thougth it will be. And speacially in this country where the people must be something usefull for the society, and what can be more usefull than public administration? If we where a developed country, or better, if the developed countries let us be developed, we could dedicated to investigations and history, but the urgent here aren't does things ( nineteen years here made me see it). But, I believe that dreams are to special to leave on the way, so I hope I could study arqueology when I finish this major, or if I can't, I hope I could travel at least to mexico to see some pyramids.
